Getting Started as a Volunteer Examiner
You as a VE are responsible for knowing and following the rules and procedures outlined in the FCC Part 97 & GLAARG’s manual.
Verified ExamTools (ET) accounts are required to work GLAARG sessions. ET is the primary exam software used for testing and the after-session paperwork. Additional resources: Complete Exam.Tools Registration
You need to join the main group before joining subgroups. Many Session Managers use the groups.io platform to manage VE RSVP and Zoom links.
Subscribe to the GLAARG VE’s groups.io Note that each Session Owner, the ones organizing and advertising their sessions to VEs, may have their own sub-group. – You have to apply for membership in their sub-group in order to see correspondence and new events published to their sub-group. If you do not see the Session Manager you intend to work with listed, please reach out to them to confirm how they manage their VE RSVPs and session infomation.
Keep up with the latest news and information by joining the GLAARG Discord. Many remote Session Managers have sub-channels for use during sessions.

VE Record Updates
Please update your VE record for preferred name changes, email, phone, addresses, fluent languages, or timezone within your Plexus profile.
GLAARG Accreditation will automatically update your VE record for expiration dates, license class, and callsign changes when they are finalized within the ULS system. This will typically show up in your Plexus record the following day.
